## The Container Miracle

In 2015, the very first medical equipment container arrived — a miraculous gift that gave Hope Clinic its initial diagnostic capability. Over subsequent years, multiple containers have followed, each transforming what we can offer our patients.

## What the Containers Brought

**Early containers (2015–2017):**
- Basic diagnostic equipment
- Manual centrifuges and microscopes
- First ultrasound machine
- Digital X-ray system

**Later containers (2017–2023):**
- Electric beds and orthopaedic mattresses
- Advanced ultrasound machines (multiple units)
- **Biochemistry automat** — enabling full blood chemistry analysis
- **URIT 5160** — 31-parameter complete blood count machine
- **Electrophoresis chain** — enabling haemoglobin electrophoresis for sickle cell detection
- Hormone testing analyser
- Serological quantification equipment

## Impact on Patient Care

Before FESIDEV's partnerships, many diagnostic tests required sending patients to Yaoundé or Douala. Today, Hope Clinic's laboratory can perform nearly 40,000 tests in a decade — locally, affordably, and with precision.
