June 14th marks World Blood Donor Day. This year's theme: **"Thank you, blood donors!"**
## Why Blood Donation Matters in Our Region
In the East Region of Cameroon, the need for safe blood is constant:
- Mothers facing complications during the 1,576+ deliveries at Hope Clinic
- Emergency trauma and surgical patients (1,135+ surgeries in 10 years)
- Children with severe malaria and anaemia
- Sickle cell patients during crises
- Surgical patients requiring blood support
## Hope Clinic Blood Drive — June 14
**Date:** June 14, 2025 | **Hours:** 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
**Location:** Hope Clinic Koumé, Quartier Koumé-Bonis, Bertoua
All donors receive:
- Free full health screening (blood pressure, blood sugar, HIV test)
- Refreshments after donation
- Certificate of appreciation
**Eligibility:** 18–65 years | Weight above 50kg | No recent illness
